Reggaetón Y2K is a themed DJ party built around the sound of reggaeton’s breakthrough decade: the dembow rhythm, perreo on the dance floor, and the anthems that moved from San Juan clubs to the top of the charts in the 2000s. Ticketmaster files the night under Dance/Electronic, which tells you the format — a DJ-driven throwback party rather than a live concert.
House of Blues hosts the party in its Music Hall, the venue’s main concert room, one night after the Eres Emo? throwback party in the same room. Together the two nights make Thanksgiving weekend at Mandalay Bay a full nostalgia double-header: emo on Friday, reggaeton classics on Saturday. Getting to House of Blues Las Vegas
Mandalay Bay is at 3950 Las Vegas Blvd, at the south end of the Strip near Russell Road. Self-parking and valet are available at Mandalay Bay, and the free tram connects Mandalay Bay to Luxor and Excalibur. Rideshare drop-off is at the resort’s main entrance; allow extra time on a Saturday night on the Strip.
